Veterinary Nurses


Vicki Rowlands RVN

Head Nurse

Vicki joined Mildmay Veterinary Hospital in 2007. She took over the role of head nurse in 2013. She is also a clinical coach and pet health councillor. She has recently been a finalist for Nurse of the Year at the CVS awards. She runs obesity clinics as well as hosting puppy parties. She is married with two sons and has always lived in Winchester. She owns two dogs Eddy who is a very old Patterdale and Poppet a Terrier cross, both are rescue dogs. She also has a horse and in her spare time she enjoys riding and walking her dogs.


Abby Beaumont RVN

Abby has been at Mildmay since October 2011. She started college in September 2012 and is now a qualified veterinary nurse.

She has always been passionate about animals and has many pets including cats, rabbits, guinea-pigs, bearded dragons and a lovely Cocker Spaniel called Oliver.


Alice Bradbury RVN

Alice previously worked at Mildmay as a canine hydrotherapist, but wanted to train as a veterinary nurse. When an opportunity became available in May 2014 she joined the nursing team.

She has many different animals including her hand reared Labrador cross Springer Spaniel called Bates. She has a keen interest in farming and training Bates as a working gun dog.

In her spare time she enjoys exploring new places with her dog, going to spin classes and baking cakes. She is a member of the Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club and goes clay pigeon shooting as regularly as she can.

Alice has a keen interest in emergency and critical care within the veterinary practice and would like to learn and progress further with this when she qualifies in 2017.


June Rogers RVN

June qualified in 1977 and has been with Mildmay since 2012 after working for Vets Now, our emergency care provider. She works at Winchester but also at our branch practice in Overton assisting with surgery on Monday and Fridays.

She has a new puppy called Tod and has a keen interest in cycling, Zumba and rehabilitating wildlife.


Kelly Wakefield RVN

Kelly joined the Mildmay nursing team in March 2014, after studying a diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College.

She has completed her Level 3 diploma in Veterinary Nursing, studying at Sparsholt to become a qualified veterinary nurse.

She has a Cocker Spaniel called Penny and a grumpy cat called Leo.


Georgie Lincoln SVN

Georgie has been working at Mildmay since June 2016 after obtaining her Extended Diplolma in Animal Management. She is now training to become a qualified veterinary nurse and is starting her second year of training at college. Georgie has always loved animals from a young age and in her spare time she enjoys walking her crazy Lurcher called Lucy. She is also enthusiastic about increasing her knowledge of wildlife.


Louise Moray RICHA BSc (Hons) SVN

Hydrotherapist and Student Veterinary Nurse

Louise joined Mildmay in October 2014 as a canine hydrotherapist. She recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Animal Management, completed at Sparsholt College. During her studies, she was able to explore several aspects of animal care, including veterinary nursing. She enjoyed this so much she has now joined our nursing team!

Louise remains passionate about animal rehabilitation and in particular how it can improve the lives of older pets with conditions such as arthritis.

She shares her life with husband Tony, a beach loving Labrador called Paddy and a very lively Cocker Spaniel called Riley. They spend as much time as possible out and about and especially enjoy doggy holidays in the West Country and Wales, anywhere with a dog-friendly beach is fine by Paddy.


Carlie Roberts RCH, OAdip

Hydrotherapist

Carlie holds a Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy and is registered with the Canine Hydrotherapy Association. Her aspirations are to help animals to recover or improve range of movement in body and joints, muscle tone, stamina and aid recovery from injury or surgery in a controlled environment.

She is currently studying to become a veterinary physiotherapist along with studying a Diploma in Canine Nutrition. She also holds a Diploma in Canine Behavior and Psychology.

Carlie has been passionate about animals since a young age as she grew up on a farm in Wales. She spends most of her free time with her pets, Loki her young Spaniel, geckos and parrot .
