
Nicola Hoad BSc (Hons) BVetMed MRCVS
Clinical Director
Nikki joined Mildmay as part-time clinical director in 2008. She works alongside Melanie to provide full-time management support for the practice. Nikki graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1998 and spent a couple of years in mixed practice before deciding to specialise in small animals. Her main interests are internal medicine and ophthalmology. Nikki has a husband and two children who keep her busy when she is not at work along with a black Labrador called Bertie and two guinea pigs. She enjoys running as well as walking Bertie and keeping up-to-date with the latest films.

Melanie Norris BVSc CertVC MRCVS
Clinical Director
Melanie has been at Mildmay since 1988. She graduated from Bristol in 1987 and has a special interest in heart problems, holding a certificate in veterinary cardiology. She is a RCVS advanced practitioner in veterinary cardiology and accepts referrals from other practices. Melanie enjoys ultrasound scanning and finds it very rewarding to help animals to get the maximum enjoyment out of life by managing their heart problems. She enjoys playing piano, reading with her black and white lap-cat named Minty and running – trying to keep up (unsuccessfully) with her very fast Greyhound cross Saluki, Luna.

Annika Driver BVetMed MRCVS
Annika graduated in 2009 from the Royal Veterinary College, London, and joined us here at Mildmay in 2014. She especially enjoys small animal medicine and the diagnostics involved - particularly abdominal ultrasonography. Annika is also currently studying towards a medicine certificate. Her home life consists of long walks with her Terrier rescue named Boris and cuddles with her ginger tom, Mango.

Zoe Gough MRCVS
Zoe graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and spent four years gaining experience at a mixed practice in Dorset before joining the team here at Mildmay. She has an interest in small animal medicine and exotics, especially rabbits. In her spare time Zoe enjoys baking chocolate brownies and drawing rare breed sheep.

Maria Jimenez DVM MRCVS
Originally from Spain, Maria graduated in 2011 and has been working in the UK since January 2013. She joined our team in September 2017 and her main interest is in surgery. Maria obtained a postgraduate certificate in small animal soft tissue surgery and anaesthesia from the University of Barcelona, Spain in 2015. Maria is currently in her last year of studying for her small animal surgical certificate in advanced veterinary practitioner. Outside of work Maria likes travelling, walking with her dog and riding her bike.

Rebecca Secluna BVetMed CertAVP SAS MRCVS A1
Rebecca graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1996 and has worked at Mildmay since 2001. Her main interests are soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Rebecca is also a nurse training assessor and has a Border Terrier called Boris.

Tom Slater BVetMed MRCVS
Tom qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2014 and spent three years in a mixed practice in Christchurch before joining Mildmay. He is particularly interested in dentistry and oral surgery.

Rachel Taylor BA VetMB MRCVS
Rachel graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2017. After graduating in July and getting married shortly after, Rachel spent three months working with a wildlife veterinarian in South Africa who has a specialism in rhino conservation. She spent her time treating and relocating creatures ranging from buffalos to leopards. Rachel joined Mildmay in December 2017 and is the only vet that has no animals to her name (not by choice)… it’s only a matter of time! In her spare time Rachel enjoys walking in the countryside and travelling.

Stephanie Winter BVM&S MRCVS
Stephanie graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2005. She joined Mildmay at the start of 2010 and enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, with a particular interest in ultrasound scanning. Stephanie has a Saluki cross called Daisy.
