We are a small animal practice in Hampshire, first established over 40 years ago. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care. For your added convenience, there’s free parking for clients at our surgeries.
Nikki joined Mildmay as part-time clinical director in 2008. She works alongside Melanie to provide full-time management support for the practice. Nikki graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1998 and spent a couple of years in mixed practice before deciding to specialise in small animals. Her main interests are internal medicine and ophthalmology. Nikki has a husband and two children who keep her busy when she is not at work along with a black Labrador called Bertie and two guinea pigs. She enjoys running as well as walking Bertie and keeping up-to-date with the latest films.
Melanie Norris BVSc CertVC MRCVS
Melanie has been at Mildmay since 1988. She graduated from Bristol in 1987 and has a special interest in heart problems, holding a certificate in veterinary cardiology. She is a RCVS advanced practitioner in veterinary cardiology and accepts referrals from other practices. Melanie enjoys ultrasound scanning and finds it very rewarding to help animals to get the maximum enjoyment out of life by managing their heart problems. She enjoys playing piano, reading with her black and white lap-cat named Minty and running – trying to keep up (unsuccessfully) with her very fast Greyhound cross Saluki, Luna.
